ici, c'est une composition originale, réalisée à partir du disque vinyle scratché - celui qui a été utilisé sur la machine - et qui est relu sur une platine normale ; la compo intègre les sons de la machine en train de scratcher.

le disque est aussi une invitation à venir se faire exploser son disque lors d'une prochaine présentation de la machine.

/ SCRATCH is a sound installation for which the fastest industrial robot in the world has been modified to scratch the surface of a vinyl record placed on a table. The monster machine, capabale of manipulating up to 240 pieces per minute is equipped with a reading head specialized for amplifying the sound that is produced by the frenetic attacks of the metal on the record. The dynamic force of the robot's arms is impossible to follow with the naked eye. The varied and surgically precise positions and accelerations are orchestrated by a computer program specially designed for the project.

The raw noise is massively distributed in the exhibition space until the moment when the robot detaches itself from the surface of the vinyl to prepare for a new cycle by practicing a series of extremely fast, circular warmup movements. Pausing only momentarily to allow for a space for silence, the sonic residue of the hypnotic hyperactivity of the robot quickly fills the space again.

The heavy pressure caused by the movements of the metallic point on the surface of the record produce a series of erosion lines and remove some surface material along these markings. The mutations and transformations of these objects are direct and unique results from the work sequence, raw traces of the performance. The choice of the record remains free and arbitrary and like a sportsman at the end of his career, it is not replaced until it reaches its rupture point, its saturation.

SCRATCH est une composition sonore de 07 minutes 22 réalisée à partir des enregistrements de l'activité du robot sur le disque vinyl puis de sa lecture sur une platine traditionnelle. Deux états sonores d'un même objet en produisent un troisième.

/ SCRATCH est une installation sonore pour laquelle le robot industriel le plus rapide du monde est modifié pour scratcher la surface d'un vinyl posé sur une table. La machine monstre, capable de manipuler jusqu'à 240 pièces par minute, est équipée d'une tête de lecture spéciale afin d'amplifier le son produit par les attaques frénétiques du métal sur le disque. La force dynamique des bras du robot est impossible à suivre à l'oeil nu. Les variations de positions et d'accélérations d'une précision chirurgicale sont orchestrées par un programme informatique spécifiquement écrit et composé pour le projet.

Le son brut est diffusé massivement dans la salle d'exposition jusqu'au moment où le robot se détache de la surface du vinyl pour se préparer à un nouveau cycle en pratiquant une série de mouvements d'échauffements circulaires extrêmement rapides. Laissant un court instant une place au silence, le résidu sonore de l'hyperactivité hypnotique du robot s'impose et remplit l'espace à nouveau.

La puissante décharge des passages de la pointe métallique sur la surface du vinyl produit une série de lignes d’érosion en enlevant de la matière sur les microsillons. Les mutations et transformations de cet objet sont le résultat unique et direct de la séance de travail, la trace brute de la performance. Si le choix du disque reste libre et arbitraire, tel un sportif en fin de carrière, il n'est remplacé que lorsqu'il atteint la limite de la rupture, jusqu'à saturation.

SCRATCH is a sonic composition of 7 minutes and 22 seconds in duration, made up of recordings of the activity of the robot on vinyl records and their reading on a regular record player. The two sonic states of a same object creates a third state.

Cette programmation bruxelloise donne une place centrale au langage, à la transcription et à la traduction.

OV/OT V.O.S.T. onderzoekt de relatie tussen film, video-kunst en digitale kunst en richt zich op ondertiteling en nasynchronisatie. Via deze bescheiden, intermediaire en functionele elementen van de filmindustrie, leiden de kunstenaars de films om, en eigenen ze zich toe. Dit programma in Brussel geeft een centrale plaats aan taal, transcriptie en vertaling.

V.O.S.T. OV/OT explores the connections between cinema, video art and digital art: Subtitles and dubbing are discreet, intermediate and functional elements of the cinema industry, used by artists for movies appropriation and diversion. This program gives in Brussels a central place to language, transcription and translation.

Antidatamining est une série de représentations visuelles des données financières qui transitent sur internet. L'économie contemporaine y est incarnée par ses principaux acteurs - entreprises, place boursières, banques et fonds d'investissement, grands groupes - et par leurs interactions : liens capitalistiques entre les acteurs économiques, déploiements géographiques, articulation autour des places de marchés. Au-delà de la crise actuelle, de sa médiatisation et des leviers politiques qu'elle génère, Antidatamining est un dispositif de veille permanente qui tente de mettre en évidence la structure de l'économie mondiale, envisagée comme un système dynamique complexe.

Antidatamining is a series of visualizations of financial data extracted from the web. Economy is represented by its main agents - companies, groups and holdings, stock exchanges, banks and investment funds - and their interactions : capital relationships, geographic deployments, structuralization on market places. Beyond the current crisis, its mediatic and polictic levers, Antidatamining is a permanent monitoring device, which aims to highlight the structure of the contemporary economy, seen as a complex dynamic system.

The new netlabel GOSUB10 today launches Substrate, its inaugural release. A 12-track compilation of music from across the electronic music genre, it features friends and family of the GOTO10 collective, illustrating the strong networks by which the label will grow and providing insight into future directions.
