Le morceau est tiré d'une tablette d'argile trouvée à Ougarit (actuelle Syrie).
Bien sûr, l'interprétation est moderne, mais elle est supposée assez proche de ce qu'elle était à l'époque. Le sens du texte n'a pas été compris avec certitude.
Ca date du 13e siècle... avant JC ! (fin de l'Age du Bronze)
