Un intéressant hommage/parodie de Brian ENO (période Revox et Robert FRIPP)... "All Brian ASPRO compositions recorded cheaply with the minimum of effort and equipment"... jusque dans les musiciens: avec la participation de Jacko PASTORIAL, Schlaus KLUTZ et Bob FRUPP...

Really great synth tape by a guy ,here called Brian Aspro, deeply involved with the electronic culture of the 80s,sometimes under the moniker "idid idid"(anyone got anything by them?) and lately appeared under the moniker The Beatless(if i'm not mistaken). Dark spacey excurtions ,sometimes touching experimental edges reminding early Robert Rental.Thomas Leer and of course Collin Potter !Any more info will be much appreciated.

CROINERS "Music to listen to other Tapes by" (cassette. Jim Tapes. 005. 198?) (US / minimal - ambient - industrial - loop - NNWish)

Flat out fabulous and equilibrium destabilizing work from one James Levine, a truly unsung oddnik of the 80's American underground cassette network whose species of mindwarpage deserves more ear holes to invade. Levine can be counted as one of the principal proponents of loop-as-loop-qua-loop fuckery; his jerry-rigged and effects smeared constructs blooping, blearing and listing about like drunken robots snared in candy floss. "Clifford..."-era Severed Heads, The Loop Orchestra's heavy lidded slurries, Tom Recchion at his most defocused and miasmic, and the Krofft Superstars-on-Robitussin soundworld of Steve Thomsen are all good points of reference here and if any of the above sounds to you like a good place to go soak your head, you'll find Music To Listen To Other Tapes By as heartwarming as your favorite Alaskan Polar Bear Heater.

Je garde un faible pour cet album, dans une discographie des plus incertaines.

disco plus qu incertaines certes, mais il y a toujours quelques perles bien cachées au fond de ces  albums.

oui c'est vrai qu'il est pas top ...
mais ce morceau même si on l'a beaucoup entendu est assez bon, je l'aurai bien vu à la sortie des artistes en fin de mix si j'avais eu plus de temps

Pas franchement terrible musicalement... mais une vraie pièce d'histoire.
Ceci est la réédition (500ex) du premier enregistrement du futur Genesis P-Orridge (aka Neil Megson) alors âgé de 16 ans avec Thee Early Worm son groupe de lycée inspiré par John Cage. Ce disque, enregistré dans le grenier de ses parents n'existait jusqu'alors qu'à un seul et unique exemplaire (un acétate détenu par l'auteur).
