WHAT IS [SONOR] ?
—————————————————————————————-

A five days meeting about radio (including webradios) and sound creation between listeners and authors. This is a rare chance to discover sounds without moderation, tiny forms, sound poetry, fictions, documentary, archives and other mixing stuff, during collective or individual listening moments. [sonor] it’s also workshops, talks and evening live performances dedicated to sound art. And that’s especially an independant organisation against globalisation and uniformisation of media contents and the way they broadcast themselves. An eclectic menu a step in the border trying to show and value the vivacity of sound creation and alternative radio, that’s [sonor].

[9pm-1am. Tax 3€.] LIVE/PERFORMANCE.
Francis Dhomont. Acousmatic music composer – music born from the radio – he will propose an evening of exchange and listening of his art. This event his especialy for those who, professionaly or not, use sound in a creative way, for radiophony, Hörspiel, music on stage, sound installation, video, teaching, and animation on different forms … But it’s also for amateurs and curious people who wants to understand the importance of sound and his realation to our landscape : perception, picking up, metamorphosis and how it grows up in the most contemporary artistic developpement.

DJ Archaïk. Alain de Filippis, a musician from Rezé who creates music and sound atmosphere for living art, will bring an installation for concert with phonograph and pick-up : « Phono Parade direct disc and pick-up, both objects that are fits to the music of the XXe century. The specific sound of the Phonograph plays its nasal and quivering melody when a modern speaker interfere and try to be heard. Extracts from old success, randoming loops on temporary hits, voices of forgotten celebrities, every sound fragmentation tells its own story… Soundscapes or tiny movies for the ear on sepia colour in which sounds rely each others, get superimpose or crash in a concrete polyphony ».
