Statement : The Internet modifies our desires, changes our relationship to the others, to time and space, to the news, and could turn into obsession. To any new context, we can observe, combine - or even create - new pathologies such as: physical troubles: neuro-muscular diseases; back, neck or wrist pain; carpal tunnel syndrome; eyestrain; watering or tickling of the eyes; ophthalmic migraines...; behavioral disorders: cyber-addiction, ego-navigation, web-voyeurism, cyberchondria (web-hypochondria), web-exhibitionnism, wikipediolie: sleep disorders; obsessional behavior disorders; attention-deficit disorders; hyperactivity, schizophrenia... to such an extent that web addiction could be recognized as a clinical pathology. We are so far from the ideal of human strength and virility accessible by a simple clic on a spam, this other web deviance.

Invited by iMAL, RYbN + projectsinge present INTERNET DISORDERS, an evening to make you sick and experiment these web disorders and pathologies with installation(s) made during the Antidatamining workshop and A/V performances and installations by RYBN, Isjtar and projectsinge.

Dissection bruitiste du disque vinyle

-En anatomie , la dissection consiste à l’ouverture d’un corps suivant un protocole
-En géométrie, un problème de dissection consiste à chercher un découpage d’une figure, de sorte à pouvoir recoller les morceaux en une autre figure donnée

Un mix évolutif à l’aide d’un matériel chirurgical branché sur micro-contact. Partant d’un disque vierge , le son se crée progressivement sur la surface , les rythmes se concrétisent puis disparaissent par l’usure du disque.

XPIR

XpiR est une rencontre entre une vidéaste (Brigit Ber)  et un saxophoniste (François Wong).

Côté visuel, Brigit Ber mixe ses propres images : photos, séquences ou vidéos, animées en mouvements lents ou chaotiques. Scènes de vies, textures visuelles… l’image reste brute et sans aucun traitement.

Côté musique, François Wong exploite le son d’un saxophone filtré au travers d’oscillateurs d’ondes, de modula
teurs, de distorsion et de samplers.

Ensemble, ils jouent un spectacle ludique et improvisé en gardant l’interaction comme fil conducteur. La souplesse de la musique live et l’ergonomie du logiciel Arkaos permettent d’aborder le VJing sous son angle interactif : l’apport humain, la sensibilité et la narration sont prépondérants.

Il faut que toutes les femmes valides du Caniche trouvent une place dans leur emploi du temps afin qu' on fasse des enfants ensemble car sinon je serai le seul Caniche des bouches du rhone à organiser (Databaza ayant démménagé je crois)

personne n'est super réactif làdessus mais je note

hehe, moi je veux bien aider, malheureusement seulement à distance, ... mais je pense pas que ça change grand chose, suffit de bien se coordonner, d'avoir les bons contacts, ... après suffit de faire monter une ou deux personnes motivées avant que ça commence.

[] EB 1.0 est exposition collective sur le thème du bruit qui présente des œuvres d’art numérique : net art, vidéo, composition musicale, installation, dessin numérique, animation ou encore publicité ainsi qu’une œuvre contemporaine d’art graphique.  En proposant d’écouter, visionner et expérimenter des œuvres, l’exposition est une véritable expérience artistique qui vise à familiariser le public aux nouvelles technologies par l’art et la culture.

L’accent est mis sur une approche expérimentale et participative de créations numériques qui proposent à la fois une réflexion sur le bruit et sur les relations qu’entretiennent le son et l’image sur un support multimédia. Invitant à la contemplation, à l’expérimentation ou à l’acquisition d’œuvres d’art, EB 1.0 met en évidence les nouvelles relations qu’entretiennent le public, les œuvres, le lieu d’exposition et les interfaces technologiques.

It's our pleasure to announce the 3rd Upgrade! International meeting "Chain Reaction" that will take place in Skopje, Macedonia from September 11th to 14th, 2008. Growing from the Upgrade! International community, this event takes the form of a city-wide digital art and networked culture festival including exhibitions, screenings, live local and streamed performances and a program of critical and active lectures and workshops exploring numerous facets in the field of digital art. Chain Reaction brings together artists, curators and art producers from more than 20 cities worldwide (Asia, Canada, Europe, North America, South America, South Africa, New Zealand)

The artistic program shows current tendencies in the use of hardware and software development for artistic means. The artists presented here are the emergent creative force on the international new media art scene.

Some of the works have been part of other exhibitions and festivals, and others have been created exclusively for this event. One of the dominant principles that have emerged in this collection of works is the blurring of the boundaries between art, cultures, technology and physical surroundings. This blurring is not about fading out; it is about illuminating and distributing new kinds of practices. It is about multiple modes of participating, navigating and deconstructing.

Chain Reaction explores issues of cultural development and growth in the local region as well as within digital networks. Exhibiting works and presentations from over 20 cities across the world, the organizers expect this event to be a catalyst for dialog, future collaborations and new cultural understanding.

The meeting theme "Chain Reaction" illustrates the network itself, the way it works and functions, correlates and interacts. The
Upgrade!International started as a creative spark that gradually grew into an international group of nodes influencing each other continually through permanent communication. The meeting gathers Upgrade! nodes into one core event in Macedonia and will hopefully cause a positive chain reaction. Upgrade! network gathers annually or bi-annually, each time in a different city for a festival by artists who participated in the Upgrade! meetings around the world.

Ce hors-série Upgrade! Paris propose de questionner les relations entre art et économie: la valeur d'une oeuvre, l'autonomie des pratiques, des productions et de la diffusion artistiques, les modèles alternatifs émergeants, les notions de dépense, de perte, avec une mise à l'épreuve de l'idée de neutralisation de l'économie artistique.

Avec le lancement de Noplacard (né de l'hybridation entre Nomusic et Le Placard), l'inauguration du canal "Télévision Zéro", initié par Christophe Atabekian sur FreeTVPerso, et un prototype de la session Upgrade!International permettant aux 25 lieux du réseau Upgrade de se rejoindre pour 48h de conférences internationales en streaming sur Giss.tv.

Ce hors-série ne se rapporte pas au modèle émetteur-récepteur d'une (dé)monstration et diffusion auprès d'un public. Il s'agit d'un processus aux implications multiples, un ensemble d'espaces qui cohabitent et se parasitent, et où différents acteurs de la scène artistique, de la recherche et des sciences se rencontrent. Cette plateforme de réflexion et d'échange constitue une des dimensions économiques de l'événement, et propose un espace critique modulaire, qui accepte et alimente ses contradictions.

Economie 0 est un concept élaboré par Grégory Chatonsky pour décrire des phénomènes artistiques et sociaux qui ne sont ni hors ni au-dedans de l'économie mais qui la neutralisent.

Initiation à Pure Data, niveau 2.

Dimanche 27 janvier 2008 de 11h à 18h.
Mains d'Oeuvres / Salle Star Trek (deuxième étage).

La formation permet de progresser dans la compréhension et  
l'utilisation du logiciel. Les exemples utilisés pour l'apprentissage  
permettent de gérer textes, sons, videos, objets 3D. L'apprentissage  
se fait au pas-à-pas, en suivant une progression lente de manière à  
bien intégrer les bases.

Formation pour 30 participants.

Pré-requis: il est nécessaire d'amener votre ordinateur. Cette  
journée est destinée aux débutants qui ont suivi la journée du 20  
janvier 2008, ou à ceux qui ont commencé un auto-apprentissage de PD.
