Ayato Versus Ghosts- Stillborn Dub [treetrunk 158]

When Ayato first listened to Stillborn Ghosts' double album "over & out" (released in 2009 by Svartgalgh) he immediately detected a dark dub potential in this weird mixture of post-noise-rock, dark ambient and industrial. So he asked a member of the band - his friend & collaborator The Ghost Between The Strings - for a copy of the original tracks of the album in order to do some remixes. In addition to 4 remixes, he composed new tracks using raw guitar recordings by the 2 members of the band (TGBTS & Stillborn Blues). The result can be considered as a completely new album : "Stillborn Dub" (and maybe even a new band, since the collaboration is going on...)

Born in 1979, Anthony Baron lives in Paris and works where the improvisation and the sound creation is going full swing in the world.
It is under the name of Anton Mobin that he produces his radio creations and that he occurs on stage. Anton Mobin's sound activities evolve in two universes: the improvised music and the radio art.

Sound artist and radio producer, the sound recording and the sound effects are the essential elements of his work of composition.

He defines himself his initiative in the continuity of the concrete music: his approach is directed on the listening of the sounds of the everyday life and their use in the radio composition, to develop an "extensive" concrete music.

Hallmark Cards is a hand-bent playback of Hallmark greeting cards with sound.
The personalized cards are converted into sentimental electronic instruments equipped with modified punch lines. Once open, the copy-righted audio material is exposed to circuit-bending techniques and physical compression. The resulting audio functions as a cover song.

Voilà  quelques mois que Martial Bécheau & Denis McCarty travaillent ensemble sur un projet de correspondance sonore, l'un complète le son de l'autre et vice versa. Parfois l'assemblage est réussit, parfois pas ; tel est le jeu du cadavre exquis (Musiques par Alternance // Correspondance Sonore).

Suite à ces différentes étapes dans lesquelles chacun aura dévoilé à l'autre certaine de ses qualités sonores (bonnes et mauvaises), Martial Bécheau invite DMC a participer à un autre projet lié cette fois au travail plastique de Franck Garcia. L'improvisation proposée explore le vaste thème des oiseaux, ritournelles, migrations, paysages crépusculaires, envoles, ascensions et fientes.
Accueilli par la Galerie TINBOX à Bordeaux, une rencontre unique pour les amateurs de musique de traverse.

Cet événement original et indépendant est organisé par l’association Jeux En Laboratoire. C’est une biennale, mettant à l’honneur la création radiophonique au sens large : paysages sonores, Hörspiels, fictions, musiques expérimentales, ovnis sonores etc….

Suite au lancement en septembre 2010 d’un appel à participation à travers des réseaux d’artistes de radios, de webradios et d’associations à travers le monde, et après avoir reçu plus de 240 pièces venant de 23 pays sur 4 continents (Nigeria, Australie, Canada, Uruguay, Colombie, USA, Roumanie, Grèce, Corée du sud, etc…), une programmation de 24h est désormais constituée.

Dans le cadre de la première édition du FMIT (Festival des Musiques Innovantes de Teyran) la médiathèque municipale de Teyran vous propose une rencontre musicale conviviale avec de jeunes artistes de la scéne electro Montpellieraine.
Se démarquant des clichés de musique « artificielle » ou répétitive, l'expérimentation acoustique, l'imagination parfois même l'humour guident ces trois « laborantins » et plasticiens sonores, poursuivant chacun des carrières solo pour de nombreux projets multimédia (Jeux vidéos, happenings, installations numériques...)
Cette rencontre festive, ludique et pédagogique autour des pratiques artistiques basées sur le multimédia et l'art numérique aura lieu le jeudi 30 juin 2011 à partir de 21h dans la Cour du Charron (Parvis de la médiathèque).

Batteur des brainsneakers/die drunk avec l’ex guitariste et bassiste des electric buttocks, bidouilleur en tout genre, Mathieu Bec a officié au sein de plusieurs formations comme instrumentiste avant de se consacrer aux sonorités électroniques. Univers décalé, enfantin et parfois obscur.
