Tale Twist - Path Collapse EP (Psicotropicodelia Music, PTDM029, 2010)

Barely one year after its debut @ Psicotropicodelia, with the equally complex "0 EP", João "Tale Twist" presents six new sonic experiments.

We already consider him one of the best brazilian producers in the IDM / Breakcore / Noise tip, specially for his capacity on referring to infinite influences and sounds, and for keeping the sense of "permanent search and conceptual advance" in each new presented track.

Literally a "collapse" of intense ideas, noises, melodies, frequencies and environments; this EP has come to intensify our willings of going on with the boundaries pushing, artistic provocation and affirmation of our identity.

n0x3o - [minimal]  album (Psicotropicodelia Music, PTDM028, 2010)

A compendium of climates, "visual" and audio atmospheres: thats how the project's second album on the label could be defined.

[Minimal] is more inspired on classic conceptual movements [serialism and minimalism, for example] than the current minimal techno / house trends, however all its creation (timbres, sequencing and mixing) evokes the present time, by also absorbing styles that emerged since the 90s (Idm / Braindance, Glitch, Downtempo).

The music remains alive and pulsating, immersed in details and textures.

Pill - P-Type (mini-album) (Psicotropicodelia Music, PTDM027, 2010)

In his second work at Psicotropicodelia, Mario "Pill" Cavalcanti follows his gamemaniac logic, "going many stages further" when compared to the MU.S.GA EP.

With 13 tracks and less than 20 minutes long, "P-Type" delivers a much more varied - and superior - mixture of references: 8-Bit/ Chiptunes, Electro, Breakbeat, interludes with one foot in minimalist electronica [Ambient and Dark Synths], Hardcore Oldschool Techno, Rave-Era Techno/House, etc.

Amusing, criative and without "frills", this mini-album is [also in its artwork, with simulates the visual from cd/cartridge games] one more item that sucessfully unites a soundtrack-y concept and [good] experimental e-music.

Cubus - Todas as coisas estão no lugar EP (Psicotropicodelia Music, PTDM026, 2010)

"All Things Are Into Place", are really they? At least on these 5 tracks, we guarantee that, YES:

Cubus, an electronic project based in Rio de Janeiro, deliver us a delirious sound which will please fans of electro/acid, breakbeats, idm and trip-hop.

The work is much diverse, but there is a strong link between the parties: downtempo/trip-hop/idm, at their most abstract [think of Laika, Gus Gus & Lamb], opens and closes the ep; the “filling” presents several variations on experimental electro, from the heavier/tense "Adore", through the broken one [with robotic vocals] "Bukowski" to the oldschool techno [with a hint of acid house] "Mata Hari".

Artcrime a.k.a Circo Inverso - Still Travelling 2010 (Psicotropicodelia Music, RPTDM004, 2010)

Greek dj and producer Chris Markou - a member of Mystery Train band, which had the "Song of The Dead" track released at our P.M. Vol. IV compilation - has sent us this album in 2008, then we took sometime to listen it...

But When we did it... The "Still Travelling" title describes, in all possible ways, such sensations... Dreams, movies, abstractions, visual arts, poetry, paranoia, delirium and a meeting of organic timbres, hip/trip-hop beats and psychedelic effects.

Since then it has been one of our received items notable for its crescendo through our minds.  There's not much to say, its all written in details by its own author in the artist release.

A-TEK - Tricks album (PTDM023, 2009)

Tricks.

Sonic artifices: effects and sensations: hugely alive, unchained sounds.

This albumtruly synthesizes the Psicotropicodelia concept/term: in its freedom of styles, tempos, rhythms & tensions.

A-TEK has been in our compilationss from the start; these - along with the EP "In+OUt (Urban Nightmares)", released in early 2009 - presented the project's music ambitions to our listeners. We have now a more extensive work, fulfilling all its potential.
If this was to be described by a main ‘label’, or grouped in a genre, maybe experimental electro/synth would be the closest definition, but you will notice these 13 tracks are on a major league of styles and possibilities!

We believe in the great quality of this, listen loud and understand!

Razxca - SecktumSepra EP (PTDM024, 2009)

Mikhail Gusenkov is a russian producer who has been, over the last years, delivering dozens of eps and tracks through a lot of different netlabels, including the one with his project's name,Razxca.

Working on the boundaries of noise/ experimental - besides the eventual cinematic - soundscapes, plenty on static effects and sound collages: we are pleased to present Razxca in his first release at Psicotropicodelia Music.

SecktumSepra EP: with a lo-fi and minimalist production: covers: skit//long-sized tracks, hardcore techno beats, a tiny pop music deconstruction, a piano + white noise score composition and an extreme tension which goes on until it reaches a nearly ear-melting climax.

THE POETIZE CODE - Sonora album (PTDM025, 2009)

Bruno Trocoli is a producer and designer based on Franca city, Sao Paulo state, Brazil.  His first ep, "Extra-Cultura", released in 2007, was the second solo work we published. It came to be our most listened and downloaded item @ Jamendo site, getting to the top listings there for many months.

After 2 years, a lot of ideas and will of "inventing"/ working on diverse styles were accumulated, and suddenly he came up with this double album containing 25 new tracks. It was totally worth the wait!

Sonora dares definitions: it is creative to the extreme and really fun to listen to: a quality consensus among the three label's coordinators.
In spite of so many songs, it lasts some 55 minutes, pointing the intention of entertaining the listener with a mega sonic cocktail: hip hop, idm, electro, breakbeat, downtempo/trip hop, grime/dubstep, ambient, world music, dream pop, mash-ups, etc; it's all there.

It's our last item of 2009, and one of the most stimulating, recommended to listen in its entirety, from first to last track!
Sonora rules!

Et, oui, ZandoZ music is amazing!
Une étreinte de schizosoniques brésilien!

Reciclotropicodelia # 1 is the first volume in our new compilation series, containing exclusive versions and remixes from tracks previously published @  Psicotropicodelia Music.

It is also a way, along with Volume IV compilation, to celebrate special items from our first two active years.

On the 8 tracks, we can check references to Volume 2 (2007) and 3 (2008) compilations; to "Era dos Mortos" ["Era Of The Dead"] movie ost (2007); ; to Eps from the brazilian The Inhuman Project and ZandoZ Corp. (both released on 2008); and to the album from  dutch producer EatMe (2009). "Recycles" of important sound pieces from our short history.

Prepare yourself for the insane soundscapes, more effervescent than ever: breaks, industrial, idm, noise, drum n' bass; digital dirt, collages, psychedelia: to those with a made-up mind and those who are familiar to our journey, all this madness makes a lotta sense!

SKYGIRLS - Rogério Skylab em Skygirls album (PTDM022, 2009)

"SKYGIRLS" is a new project, headed by the great brazilian alt-rock bastard poet Rogério Skylab.

Formed by Thiago Martins (guitar) and Bruno Coelho (drums), both from Skylab's original band, it also has Eliza Schinner on bass and Leandra Lambert (Voz Del Fuego) on keyboards, programming and vocals.

The band has made their live debut on Rio de Janeiro, with two shows at Cinematheque. Right after that, they recorded their album on May 2009, at CIA dos Técnicos, mixed by Vânius Marques.

Two covers from classic french songs entered the album's repertoire: "La Mer", composed by Charles Trenet; and "AH Melody", by Serge Gainsbourg, originally from his famous "Histoire de Melody Nelson" album.

The album is being launched by Psicotropicodelia Music [netlabel] in two formats: free/copyleft download and [limited pressing double] CD.

All the album and hotsite's graphic conception was in designer Flávio Lazarino's hands, whose art style is already consolidated on many of our previous releases. Mastering work was done by Sao Paulo producer Flanicx.

The creative artillery and cultural/ musical importance of Rogério Skylab were our main reasons for releasing it.

We, at the schizo directory, needed such a strong item for extending the label's range; specially by embracing a psychedelic and alternative rock/ska/dub side; which also lives in our brains/ souls/ hearts/ playlists :].
