From 2008, the 7th dadala album `picnic' blends abstract electronics, acoustic and electric guitars, piano and a bit of jazz. While not without the usual kaleidoscopic avant-garde edge, `picnic' is more laid-back and ambient than other dadala albums, suitable for listening on a lazy Sunday morning, for an afternoon nap, or late night inner explorations. The tracks are built primarily from recordings by Johann Meier of jopy (all trks except 1), also featuring material from Michael Chocholak (trk 3), the glad hand (trk 1) and RDunlap (trks 1 & 7).
dadala is a project from outsider recordist RDunlap combining, remixing and manipulating existing recordings of his own and/or contributed by other unconventional artists.
