Bon c'est pas tout neuf , c'est pas gratuit mais ce serait dommage de se priver d'un bijou pareil. öde a distortion sous fonds de rythmiques indus orientale. Unique ... pas forcément representatif des travaux de feu Muslimgauze (exceptée la track "marble infant" )
Le dernier morceau (# 08 - counting backwards) justifie à lui seul l'achat de l'album (si toutefois il en reste)
comme je suis pas fort pour les "pitch" ...
SONAR is a belgian electronic industrial project, started in '96 by DIRK IVENS (ABSOLUT BODY CONTROL, THE KLINIK, DIVE) and PATRICK STEVENS (ABSOLUT BODY CONTROL, THE KLINIK, MONOLITH) who was replaced by ERIC VAN WONTERGHEM in July '98, with the aim to create harsh rhythmical noise, industrial and dark soundscapes.
A combination between analogue and digital instruments and other devices creates an analytical, cold but dancable atmosphere. Therhythms remind to working machines, the soundscapes to boiling chemicals, droning planes or strange sonic test equipment. The sound of SONAR is made to make you move in another way. To tune you into the industrial, but never without an extra dimension of powerful dynamics and tuned electronic. Industrial is not only about hitting metal or oilbarrels. SONAR is looking for a contemporary definition of industrial, and tries to discover this by controlling electronic devices with todays technology this is perfectly possible. SONAR VS MUSLIMGAUZE shows what happens when industrial meets arabian influenced Techno, remixing deconstructingeach other - it sounds into 26 minutes of dancable hypnotic beats.

a propos d'esplendor geometrico leurs toutes premières cassettes (80-82) avaient été rééditées en 2 cd sur staaltape
assez impressionant pour l'époque (un tube electroclash en prime : moscu esta helado)
