Staer, Horacio Pollard, Dave 2000 - Staer, Horacio Pollard, Dave 2000 - Split  (2014)

À écouter en intégralité ici: http://staalplaat.bandcamp.com/album/split-5

"Le Petit Mignon presents a new split between hyperactive Norwegian trio Staer and Berlin based Horacio Pollard, visually shaped by French illustrator Dave 2000.

Staer's acid side “Dresden Dynamo” presents an outstanding piece of beefy rocking assault, built-up on elephantine bass rumbles and sustained, psychedelic guitar perforations, the whole carried by a Swiss clock like drums shot. A repetitive yet complex and ambivalent automation composition. The cranes pile up the bricks but the buildings keep falling apart: this is a heavy construction/destruction symphony.

The blast side shows a yet unrevealed face of Horacio Pollard experimental work. Three short pieces assembled together as a constantly growing nightmarish flow. Reminiscences of The Residents blend with cold and slightly dissonant, demonic funky grooves. This is breakdancing music for George A. Romero zombies. Truly, hellishly beautiful stuff.

This release comes as a crystal clear 45rpm 7" with colour labels, housed in a flashy 54 x 18cm full colour 6-panel fold out psycho collage artwork by Dave 2000, printed on 350g thick paper, limited to 200 copies, hand-stamped and numbered. Mastering by Danny O'Really, cut by Rashad Becker at Dubplates, Berlin. Distributed by Staalplaat: http://staalplaat.com/recording/staer-horacio-pollard-dave-2000-split"
