PAUL BEAUCHAMP – Sala B : Rupture
http://www.chewz.net/release/view/CWZ015

Sala B is a musical project inspired by a recent near-death experience I had consisting of several weeks in intensive care, two operations and thirty months of therapy. The doctors and physicians all considered my condition terminal and have said that is a miracle that I survived.

Sala B is divided into three segments published individually on EPs, each symbolizing the three majors aspects of the experience.

Rupture is the first of the three representing the events leading up to my arrival in the hospital emergency room.

All music written and composed by Paul Beauchamp

Paul Beauchamp

Originally from the Piedmont Region of North Carolina at the base of the Appalachian Mountains (Winston-Salem to be exact), now living in the Piemonte Region of Northern Italy at the base of the Alps (Turin to be exact), Paul Beauchamp has been an active experimental musician since 1993.
Focusing principally on drones, loops, soundscapes and atmospheres Paul Beauchamp has experimented in many styles of music and sound with several diverse projects ranging from the sound/art group Diviner to industrial/tribal/ noise outfit Sikhara to current electro/acoustic/ ambient collaboration Blind Cave Salamander with Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo(Larsen) as well as a new distorted-opera/ pop project with Palumbo, Ernesto Tomassini and Evor (of NG) temporarily titled Canes Venatici. This is all in addition, of course, to the solo work of Paul Beauchamp which has ranged in style from dark ambient to intrspectively melodic.
Paul Beauchamp's works have been produced and exhibited both live in such places as the historic Teatro Juvarra in Turin and in extreme locales such as Reykjavik, Iceland as well as on cd published by such labels as PREcordings of Rome and Chew-Z of Turin. Active also in the art scene, Paul Beauchamp has also produced site-specific sound installations for the Nietszche Fabrik of Turin as part of the World Design Capital Festival of 2008 and the P4 Temporary Gallery as part of the [Design] Crisis Exhibition of the Milano Design Week 2009.
